CV passenger train brakevans

Built as DV class (1898 - 1906) they were recoded to CV in 1910.
Unbelievably these turn of the century vans were still in high speed passenger service in the late 70's/early 80's It appears that CV's 1 and 2 were built with the eleptical roof style as shown in the pic below, other CV's had celestory roofs. |

ABOVE: CV 1 and 2 were unique for a guards van in having a clean roofline, guards observation being done from the side "duckets" 1977.
